I got back home to find that the Dow had already crashed over 200 points! I feel a bit annoyed to have missed so much of the action but there is no way that I can trade at work... the markets are so volatile that you really need to be around to watch what is happening and get out should things turned nasty.
Anyway, I did managed to enter a short at 10422 and got out at 10404 for +18. As the market approached the previous low and round number at 10400, I didn't want to take a chance on my mone

I also make a couple of trades on the Dow for a total of +17. The first trade was a short from 11642 and I took profit at 11634. The second trade was a long 11636 and I closed out at 11645.

I shorted the market at 11502 and for a while it was doing ok, it went down and was 15 points up at one stage. Judging by how much I dislike this trading instrument (I really need to ween myself off it) I was keen to move the stop to breakeven as soon as I could as the market moved my direction.
Anyway, the Dow being the Dow took out my stop which was 11502 for a scratch trade! I think the market is heading lower though...
