My Google Pagerank has suddenly dropped to 2 from 3 (I also have two other blogs which went up.. both were on 0, one now has a Pagerank of 1 and the other, 2). I found this strange as my site has been growing since it’s realise in August last year. I am getting more visitors, getting more backlinks and it is appearing in more and more search engines… so what’s happened?
I did some research on the web and the Google Pagerank ranking system.. it’s some sort of trade secret but there’s more than meets the eye.. it’s not simply a system on ranking your website but Google can penalize you if you link pages which they don’t like and also if you sell advertising.
It seems that a lot of people have been affected, some people have dropped more than two Pagerank levels..
